In this step you will learn how to Create an Inquiry using SAP Easy Access Menu.
Step 4: Create Customer Inquiry
Before we enter an inquiry from our new customer,The Bike Zone. You should have a fair knowledge about Inquiry
Inquiry: It's is a customer's request to a company (The Bike Zone) for information with respect to their Products, Service without commitment, or agreement to purchase.
An Inquiry can relate to
- Price of the product
- Availability of the product
- The delivery date of the product
To create a customer inquiry, you can search VA11 in the search box and press Enter. Or you can follow the menu path Logistics ► Sales and Distribution ► Sales ► Inquiry ► Create
Enter the following information
Inquiry Type: IN
Sales Organisation: UE00
Distribution Channel: WH
Division: BI Then click in Continue
Now you will the Create Inquiry: Overview screen same as below
Click on the Sold-To-Party field, then click on the search icon which will bring up the following screenClick on Customer General tab Enter Search Term: ### and City: Orlando. Then click on Start Search. This will produce new customer and Double-Click on it
Enter Cust.Reference: ###
Customer Ref. Date: Today's Date
Valid from Date: Today's Date
Valid to Date: One month from today's date and Confirm with Enter
Now you need to price on two products -----the Deluxe Touring Bike (black) and the Professional Touring Bike (black). For finding these two products click on the material field and click on the search icon.
Make sure you are on the Sales "Material by Description" tab. If you have any difficulty to find this tab, please follow the screen below:Enter Sales Organization: UE00
Distribution Channel: WH
Material: *### (e.g. *015 if your number is 015).
Then click on Start Search to get the list of bikes.
To select Deluxe Touring Bike (black) double click on it and order quantity: 5. Repeat the same process to select Profession Touring Bike(Black) and order quantity: 2. Now press Enter to get the Net Value.
Now we have selected total 7 bikes from The Bike Zone and net value of this bike is 21,400.
The Expect.ord.val (6,420.00) is a calculated value, which takes the net value of the order and multiplies it by the probability of having an inquiry from this customer turn into an actual order. Select both items and Choose Item Condition. Then choose sales A. Change the Order Probabilities to 70%. then choose toget to PRTR1###. There change again the Order Probabilities to 70%.to update the inquiry and note the new Expect.ord.val of 14,980.00
Now all the data for creating an inquiry is entered and Click on Save. You also got one Inquiry Number please note it down. Click on the Exit icon to return to the SAP easy access menu.
